Political Agreement on the Ban on Products made from Forced Labour announced

Council and Parliament strike a deal to ban products made with forced labour - Consilium (europa.eu)

The news has hit the press that around 02:30 am a ‘provisional agreement’ on the proposed new rules seeking to eliminate products made from forced labour from value chains linked to the EU market. Given the recent fate of the CSDDD, the next phase - formal approval by each institution - is now awaited.
